About This Service
CCS Checker AU is an independent estimation tool designed to help Australian families understand their potential Child Care Subsidy (CCS) entitlements. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Services Australia, Centrelink, or the Australian Government.
Data We Collect
We collect the minimal amount of data required to provide our service:
- Calculation inputs: Family structure, estimated income, activity hours, and childcare details you enter into our calculator.
- Payment information: If you purchase premium features, your payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store or have access to your credit card details.
- Technical data: Standard web server logs including IP addresses and browser information for security and debugging purposes.
How We Store Data
- Free calculations: Data is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and is not transmitted to our servers beyond the calculation request.
- Premium purchases: A record of your payment session is stored securely in our database to provide access to premium features.
- No selling of data: We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data Retention
- Browser localStorage: Calculation data in localStorage persists until you clear your browser data or manually remove it.
- Server logs: Web server logs containing IP addresses are retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes.
- Payment records: Transaction records are retained for 7 years to comply with Australian tax and financial record-keeping requirements.
- Premium access: Your premium feature access is linked to your email and stored securely in our database.
Third-Party Services
